2026 Scholarship Award Recipient
Every year the Selbyville Community Club Awards a graduating Selbyville student a scholarship of $1000. This year's recipient was Maria Benavides Cortes. Maria will be attending University of DE in the Fall. Congratulations Maria!

Hands Together, Hearts as One
We gather not for wealth or fame,
But for a cause, a common name.
With willing hands and steadfast grace,
We lift, we build, we fix this place.
The gardens we tend, the meals we share,
Are more than acts, they show we care.
Through sweat and laughter, trials too,
We forge a bond both strong and true.
A stranger’s need, a neighbor’s call,
Reminds us we belong to all.
No task too small, no job too great,
When generosity shapes our fate.
And as we part, the work lives on,
A thread now stitched, a light now drawn.
For service binds, like roots in earth,
A testament to love’s true worth.
