We had a terrific tour of Phillip C Showell's Selbyville History Mural. If you haven't seen this Selbyville Treasure, you are missing a great chance to learn about the community. It's a wonderful walk through Selbyville and its history. Top left photo - Members of Selbyville Community Club. Bottom left, SCC President, Deb Hiob, and Delaware Federation of Women's Club's President, Rita Hollada. (Note the mention of Selbyville Community Club on the book next to Rita. SCC was instrumental in founding the Selbyville Library.

2021

"March is Youth Art Month!! Help Phillip C. Showell celebrate it’s amazing student artists and their creativity in our first ever virtual art show. Thanks to the ongoing support of the Selbyville Community Club, first, second and third place winners will be chosen from each grade level. Family, friends, and fans can click on the Best of Show link to vote for their favorite piece from the show. This winner will receive an artistic prize basket full of creative supplies!"

The 2021 Virtual Youth Art Show was a success! The votes are in for Best In Show and the judging completed for prizes for each grade. This was the first time trying a virtual show and the efforts that Phillip C. Showell students and teacher, Laurie Hall, put in made the show a real success. SCC's Arts & Culture Committee promoted the show on WBOC and with the help of many generous community sponsors awarded prizes to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd winners from each grade.
