The Arts and Culture Community Service Program promotes and supports art and cultural programs in the Selbyville and neighboring communities. Our goal is to create projects that include crafts, dance, drama, food, music, and other manifestations of art and culture that develop skills, awareness, and appreciation. It is designed to inspire and ignite a desire to make the world a more beautiful, thoughtful, and caring place.
The Signature Program of the Arts and Culture Community Service Program is the Annual Youth Art Month (YAM) Program that takes place March/April each year and provides a medium for recognizing skills developed through visual arts experiences for children in grades K-12. Under the sponsorship of the Selbyville Community Club, and with support from the whole Selbyville Community, the first YAM art show was held in 2004 in the Selbyville Community Library. The tradition has continued every year since then.
